Weel 8 Renovation

Things are moving along and most of the subflooring has been put down on the second floor.  Jenny is going through a few recalculations upstairs so Steve can start framing first thing on Monday.  I spent some time at the house on Friday and Saturday taking the plaster and laths off two and one-half walls and busting through the concrete floor in the basement with a jackhammer.  All I can say is that I'm not a spring chicken anymore.  We have three other 30 x 30 inch sections in the basement that have to be dug to 12 inches deep so we can pour concrete pads for the metal supports.  I'm thinking I might be able to help with one more, but we'll see.  The weather last week was brutal, and this week isn't going to be much better.  Highs in the high 90s, maybe even 100.   The HVAC contractor, insulators, and sheetrockers will be in this week to take measurements for materials.  They should be getting in later this week or early next week.  Then we can get the carpet installers in to measure the upstairs and stairs.  Things will be going fast and furious pretty soon.  The end of July will be exciting.
