Christmas 2008

OK, I'm glad today's almost over, but it was a lot of fun. We had some wildness at home in the morning, then we went to Terri's folks for more. We just couldn't get enough. We did make a tremendous fennel gratin with toasted bread crumb topping for lunch at the Militellos. Tip for those lactose intolerant among us--coconut milk (the good stuff, not the low fat) is a good substitute for heavy cream). Anyway, Kaz, Max, and Zach had a great day. Check out the new bean bag chairs. I think I'm going to like them a lot, too! Oh, Zach really loves frozen blueberries.

The Christmas Tree Goes Up

We got the Christmas up on Saturday and started decorating today. We'll finish up later this week. Everyone is excited, but Zach seems just a little more whacky than the others.

Chrismas Sing at Kaz's School

All the classes at Kaz's school sang songs during a Christmas program on Thursday. Luckily for us the kindergarten classes went first. Zach wasn't feeling well, and we were able to leave pretty soon after they sang. Lighting wasn't the greatest, but Kaz did a great job! We wish everyone could have been there.

Kaz's Birthday

Kaz celebrated birthday number six on Friday, and Faith, Dave, Hailey, and Ben came over to enjoy some cake, cookies, and ice cream. We didn't get too many good pictures, though. Sorry about that.

Thanksgiving at Gram and Pappa's

We had fun at Gram and Pappa's over the Thanksgiving weekend. Uncle Kevin and Aunt Pat were there, and we ate a lot of good food, celebrated Max's Birthday, and captured a raccoon. Thanks for a great time, Gram and Pappa!

Tinkertoy Week and Zach w/Apple Sideburns

It's been one of those weeks. The tinkertoys have been everywhere, and everyone has really gotten into the whole design-build craze. Kaz seems to have quite the gift.

In addition, Zach has been experimenting with what foods stick, and what foods don't stick, to various parts of his head. He's had success with bananas (of course) and apple slices (shown here). We had to stop him tonight from putting frozen blueberries in his hair. He's also very curious about what objects will fit into his ears (no pictures yet).
