We took the kids to Chester, Illinois, this morning to see the USS LST-325 (Landing Ship Tank), one of only two WWII LSTs to be preserved in the U.S. We didn't tell the boys where we were going, but after much whining, complaining, and questioning about where we were going, when we crossed the Mississippi River bridge into Chester and they saw the ship they were st0ked. After a tour of the ship, the boys got to hold guns, talk to some veterans, and see tanks, jeeps, and a bunch of other military vehicles. It was a great trip.
